Parent Consultation
Parent consultations are an important part of the counseling & coaching process. We work together to care & support your child (and you).
At our first parent consultation we’ll go over family history and the presenting problem. We’ll set goals for our counseling & coaching and team up to create a parenting strategy to try at home. During the initial parent consultation we’ll schedule your child’s first counseling session.
Generally, I recommend a parent consultation every 6-8 sessions to discuss our progress towards the child’s goals. Parents provide ongoing insight about how the child functions in everyday life; where are the struggles and the victories. It’s also a great time to bring up any new concerns or goals, as well as talk about parenting wins and challenges.
Parenting is difficult, and we all need help sometimes. Whether your child is receiving our services or not, if you need support or would like to start your own counseling & coaching, let us know!
Leader Care & Support
Leaders are often the most neglected demographic in any vocation, especially those in caregiving roles and ministry. Many are experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary trauma.
We offer confidential care, support, and encouragement to caregivers, church pastors & staff, ministry leaders, and their families.
Church Partnerships
As community-based counselors & coaches, we partner with local churches to provide onsite services to congregations and our local community, staff training, and leader support.
As a faith-based organization, Side by Side works across denomination lines serving churches in the Goodyear, Buckeye, Litchfield Park communities.
